The schedule of the remaining matches of the sixth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) has been announced and the remaining matches of the league will be played in Abu Dhabi from June 9 to 24.

Six of the 16-day tournament will feature two matches on the same day, including the qualifier and eliminator on June 21.

On the day of a match, the match will start at 9 pm Pakistan time, while on the day of two matches, the first match will be played at 6 pm and the second at 11 pm.

The Lahore Qalandars will take on Islamabad United in the opening match on June 9, which will be the 15th match of the event.

Initially, the tournament was scheduled to start on June 5, but due to logistical and other challenges, the league was postponed, but this will give the teams more time to prepare.

Qalandars and United started training on Wednesday while the rest of the teams are starting training today and players and support staff will be allowed to meet their teams and participate in training sessions that will take 7 days of mandatory isolation.  And they have at least 3 negative tests.

To successfully complete the tournament, the Pakistan Cricket Board, in collaboration with the England and Wales Cricket Board, has rescheduled the dates of the national team’s tour of England, and now the player support staff will fly directly from Abu Dhabi to England on June 25.  Will ride

The national team will initially arrive in Manchester from where they will be transferred to Derby to complete their isolation period.

The national team will arrive in Cardiff on July 6, where the first ODI will be played on July 8.

Wasim Khan, chief executive of the PCB, said that since the inception of the league in 2016, the league has successfully faced a number of challenges and has been getting stronger and stronger every year.

He said that the acceptance and reputation of PSL is of great importance, the hosting of the remaining 20 matches of the league in Abu Dhabi is a clear sign of the stability of our league and we are happy that thanks to our decisions the sixth edition of the league is completed.  Is going to happen

He said that holding the tournament in Pakistan has always been our priority but due to some exceptional circumstances we have to move the remaining 20 matches of this tournament from here. Holding the seventh edition of the league in Pakistan will be our first priority.  ۔

Arif Al-Awani, General Secretary, Abu Dhabi Sports Council, said that hosting the remaining matches of the sixth edition of Pakistan Super League would be very important in promoting Abu Dhabi and its sports facilities.

“Our relationship with the PCB and Ehsan Mani is very old and welcome, thanks to which we have received concessions from the government on all outstanding issues,” he said.

Emirates Cricket Board Vice Chairman Khalul Zaroni welcomed the holding of PSL 6 matches and said that this is the place where the league started six years ago.

“This time all these matches will be played in Abu Dhabi where world class facilities are available and we will try to meet all the expectations to make the PSL a success with the help of the Abu Dhabi administration,” he said.
